While visiting Lugdunum, a museum in Lyon, I came across various statues of gods placed on pedestals. However, I noticed that they lacked the grandeur and immortality that one would associate with gods. Instead, they appeared to be floating faces under the artificial light, gradually moving towards the light at the threshold of death. Even gods, the statues, meet their end like a sacrifice on an altar.
